A native of our nation’s capital, André was born in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. From parents with extensive families along East coast. His adolescence was nurtured from Alabama to Washington, D.C. His eventual youth base, Washington’s inherent cultural diversity meant he was bound to connect with people from all over the world which ultimately taught him a priceless education in diversity awareness. Receiving both a private and public school education, he developed keen instincts and problem-solving skills.
André received a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. At JMU he explored multiple career options from international business to the arts. Post-graduation, he traveled the world including: Africa, Australia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America. The multi-faceted education he received both scholastically and experientially laid the foundation on which he would build his successful real estate career.
He left DC in August 1995 bound for San Francisco to attend graduate school. This being the first time he was truly on his own, he fatefully landed a temp position assisting a new construction real estate sales team selling condos on Potrero Hill. It was at 18th & Arkansas where he met his real estate mentor.
After obtaining his real estate license in 1996, André sold his inaugural development, Oriental Warehouse Lofts in South Beach under Pacific Union Marketing Company. It was after Oriental Warehouse Lofts, André was instrumental in the creation and extraordinary success of The Mark Company with whom he hung his license for many years.
André has sold approximately 1,000 new construction condos from the Bay Area to Downtown Los Angeles. Some notable developments are: The Marquee Lofts, The Brannan, St. Regis Residences, Infinity, Arden, One Mission Bay and Union House. His nearly 30 year real estate career has experienced it all from the dot.com explosion circa 2000 to the mortgage crisis circa 2008 and back again. This financial rollercoaster provided a unique backdrop to which he has been able to hone his stellar skill set while crystalizing his diversified connections.
Thriving in the Bay Area, André also enjoys the outdoors by partaking in hiking, mountain-biking, snowboarding, kayaking, rafting, etc. Some of these activities linked him to opportunities to be a substantial donor of his time, energy and funds to non-profits such as Healing Waters and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC) on which he served as a board member for three years.
If you seize the opportunity to work with André, you’ll find he always places his clients first. He’s detailed, seasoned and simply cares.
